A considerable number of people opine that increasing the price of fuel for transportation is one of the main solutions for environmental problems. I completely disagree with this statement because the environment affects many ways and fuel use not only cars or vehicles but also other sectors.
There are a number of reasons why I believe fuel is not the main environmental problem. One main issue is deforestation that can lead to the loss of habitats for animals and plants, as well as soil erosion. Furthermore, air pollution impacts the environment, which creates heat waves and floods and various health issues such as asthma and heart diseases. If these issues can be sorted out, environmental problems can be decreased.
Moreover, increasing fuel costs affect our economic site, and basic needs also fuel uses for generating electricity purposes. If there are rising fuel prices, public transportation charges will increase. For instance, this change affects many people who are only relying on public transportation that is not very convenient anymore, and possibly people are not getting proper electricity, then need to cut trees for wood for supply power that is increasing deforestation, which means the environment is affected. In case people are not getting electricity power supply well, that affects study, medical treatments, or food supplements, leading to economic burdens, which are not good for developing countries.
In conclusion, while increasing the price of fuel might have some effect on education, health, and economics, it is not the most effective or equitable solution to the environmental problems.
