A group of individuals present the view that success is achieved by hard work, whereas others believe some other parameters, money for instance, are key. I strongly agree with the latter opinion.
On the one hand, some people justifiably argue it is an undeniable fact that some factors, money or appearance for instance, play a vital role in individuals’ success. Because with enough money, people are able to purchase many items that they wish to buy. Moreover, appropriate appearance boosts their charisma. In general, these types of factors define success. A recent article published by Luxury Journal stated that there is a strong direct correlation between income level, wearing attractively, and a sense of happiness in life.
On the other hand, another group of people claim that hard work always leads to success in life due to the fact that valuable properties in the world require a high amount of effort for a long period of time. They have some personal experiences which show that their friends who have put in a sufficient amount of effort for some purposes are often successful in life. However, I do not find this argument convincing. Firstly, personal experience does not have the power to be strong evidence for accepting this large-scale topic; therefore, we must find a reliable answer in scientific articles. Secondly, statistics published by Andrew Huberman, a neuroscientist at Stanford University in 2022, represent that there is no relationship between hard work and succeeding in life; thus, we cannot confirm this group of people’s view.
To conclude, in my view, some factors are decisive in individuals’ lives, having a high amount of salary, for instance, for being a successful person because rich people find it easy to buy what they need, which often results in a sense of satisfaction. Moreover, there is no scientific evidence to prove that hard work will 100% lead to success.
