The happiest phase in people’s lives is a very subjective matter. Some people are the happiest when they are teenagers, while others find their adult lives most rewarding. Although the freedom of teenage years tend to provide the fondest memories for a lot of people, adult life might be the time for some people to find true happiness.
Teenagers are in a unique disposition of having a lot of newfound freedom to explore and expand their horizons with little to no consequences. A lot of people find their fist experiences in their teenage or young adult phase, the years in which people are most curious and experimental. These memories could bring joy, and it is also true otherwise. The curiosity and lack of responsibilities carried by teenagers may result in courage to try new things. However, teenagers are also undergoing massive changes in their lives, being in a limbo between childhood and adult life.
On the other hand, adults are fully developed, both physically and mentally. Having gone through the transitional phase of teenage years, adults have developed a taste of what brings them happiness. These compounding experiences compared to teenagers allow adults to better understand how to seek their very own happiness, creating the best memories of their lives in adulthood. Although there are many responsibilities adults are under, there are also a lot more freedom for adults to execute their passions and hobbies, due to the resources they have that teenagers otherwise, do not.
The uncertainties of youth, for a lot of people, do not bring the most happiness. While teenage years may be exciting, it is very short-lived and sometimes, even, embarassing to reminisce. Adult life may also be boring, but happiness can be found even in the most mundane things. The stability and freedom of adult life are what make it truly enjoyable.
In conclusion, while some people consider the experimental phase of teenage years bring most happiness, the developed mind of adults know what brings the most happiness for each of their own.
