Some people believe that teenage years are the happiest time of most people’s lives, while others think that adulthood brings more happiness. Nowadays, when there is an increasing number of children who try to become adults, this argument is truly relevant. This essay argues that, although adults have more freedom and opportunities, teenage years are the most joyful phase in people’s lives.
On the one hand, some individuals believe that adulthood is a happier phase and has many advantages, such as having more freedom, unlike teenagers who are dependent on their parents. However, from my perspective, adulthood provides people not only freedom but alsoresponsibility.also responsibility. For instance, adults are required to pay taxes and utility bills. Expenses,These expenses, constant requirements, stress, and an unstable economic situation in some countries have a huge negative impact on adults’ well-being. Moreover, adulthood meanscan mean losing their parents. Teenagers get older, and their parents as well. Therefore, it might be the most stressful phase in people’s lives.
On the other hand, teenagehood means less freedom but also less responsibility as well. The way I see it, teenage years are the most productive time. First of all, young people have more time for their hobbies and self-development. They are not obligated to pay taxes or work. Furthermore, parents provide their guidance and all necessary resources to support them. Teenagehood is more joyful also because of alive and healthy parents. Therefore, they can spend more time together, and it will become an unforgettable memorymemories later in their lives.
To sum up, both adulthood and teenagehood have their own advantages and disadvantages. As far as I am concerned, family has an ncredibleincredible value for me. Therefore, teenagehood is the most joyful phase in people’s lives. Even though adults have more opportunities, teenage years are valuable because of strong family bonds.
