It is thought that following sports is only a useless way to spend pastime, while others believe that it can bring many benefits. I firmly disagree with this statement because this type of spending free time provides vicarious experience and sports entertainment can even help people unwind and also motivate spectators in their own lives.
Many individuals argue that watching matches give nothing valuable to viewers because they are not physically participating in the game. Even though, sports often create emotions and excitement, and it usually develop strong connections with their favourite clubs and players after following them for many years. This emotional involvement makes people feel passionate, tension, and satisfaction during competitions. In addition, sport events often bring families, relatives, acquaintances and friends together, because of enjoying then discussing games and celebrating victories with each other. For this reason, watching sports cannot simply be considered a waste of leisure time.
Another pivotal point to prioritize is that sports viewers may actually mimic a delicate skills from professional athletes. People who regularly watch sports such as football, basketball, or tennis began to understand tactics, discipline, and teamwork. Young athletes especially are influenced by famous sport stars because they want to have their techniques and achievements. Sometimes viewers even become inspired to improve their own conditions after observing professional players. This habit help many fans become more active and be healthy in daily life. Sport programs also teach essential lessons about hard work and determination, which are important qualities outside the sport and training as well.
In conclusion, I totally disagree that watching sports is a waste of time, because It is not only entertains people emotionally, but also provides a personal development and healthier lifestyles.
