Nowadays, due to modern technology, people are becoming lazier and they believe that online education is more effective. However, some people still think that having a physically present human teacher is more effective. In my opinion, teaching with a human teacher when they are physically present in the classroom is more effective for students, whereas online classes can be skipped by students.
On one hand, due to modern technology, students believe that studying online is more convenient. Firstly, students can attend classes from anywhere around the world online. For example, immigrant students can attend their classes online through platforms like Zoom while staying in another country or their own nation. Secondly, online study has become easier as students have access to multiple teachers at affordable prices. For instance, nowadays, there are many teachers providing education through online platforms like YouTube, Byju’s, Unacademy, and many more, making education easily accessible. However, there are some disadvantages to online teaching such as students not attending classes, resulting in failing exams.
On the other hand, in schools, colleges, and universities, students believe that learning with a human teacher in a classroom is more effective. Firstly, students can easily interact with the teacher and ask questions regarding the subject. For example, if a student does not understand an explanation, they can freely ask the teacher to clarify until they fully comprehend the topic. Secondly, students, once in the classroom, are less likely to skip or avoid classes because of the presence of a human teacher. For instance, some students tend to skip certain subjects like math or science in online classes, but this is less common in a physical classroom setup. Nevertheless, there are drawbacks to having a physically present teacher, such as the lack of access to multiple teachers, making it more challenging for students to grasp certain topics easily.
In conclusion, both learning systems have their advantages and disadvantages. However, in my opinion, learning with a teacher in a classroom is more effective for students as it encourages engagement and allows students to seek clarification on topics whenever needed.
