At present day, it is considered by some that younger generations need to preserve different traditions, whereas there are others who think that they have a right to choose what they want to do and who they want to be. Nonetheless, I totally agree with the first view, as traditions make us stronger and enable us to be different from other families or nationalities throughout the globe, whilst without them we can strongly express our personality, but lose the uniqueness of our kin.
From one point of view, everyone wants to be unique and refuses to follow standard conceptions that are accepted in certain society. Moreover, the democracy exists which gives them a chance to make a choice in terms of their preferences. A good example is the emergency of individuals with different orientations who are heavily judged by people. However, they have found the way to tell the word about their existence and express themselves uniquely. Actually, they have done the thing which they have all rights to do, and they have not intention to change something now.
But, from the other point of view, it is critical to remember and preserve various traditions, as they help us to illustrate our sophistication and enjoy the exceptive atmosphere. Apart from that, it is believed that they build connections among humans and show some differences that exist among various peoples around the world. For instance, in Ukraine at Christmas all members of the family gather at one home, prepare special dinner, have some talks, sing carols and remind of heartwarming moments. It not only gives you an opportunity to meet your distant relatives, but to show younger generation the significance of such traditions.
In conclusion, although there is a huge number of people who intent to express themselves and show their position with the development of person’s rights and the emergence of various group of individuals who differ from one another in different ways, we always need to remember that the preservation of some traditions existing in our kids is an indispensable part of creating a strong relations within a family, maintaining a contact with our cousins, and staying unique.
