In recent years, the majority of people have been facing many problems with poverty. Especially, millionaires are providing financial support to poor people. Some people believe that financial support helps reduce poverty, but others doubt this statement, arguing that it could make the situation worse. In this essay, I will discuss both sides and clearly give my opinion.
A growing number of people believe that reducing financial support from the government could help reduce poverty. It is their view that charity can play a big role in addressing this problem. A good example of this would be food banks. Local community organizations often provide financial help with food or clothing. That is to say, people can get support from their communities instead of depending on government help. In other words, by encouraging people to help each other and support local charities, communities can reduce poverty without depending only on the government. As a result, people can work together to make a difference and support those in need.
A climbing number of people believe that help with financial support might make the situation worse. They claim that it could make people rely on support instead of finding their own solutions. A good example of this would be unemployment benefits. Some people argue that if someone gets money from the government for a long time while they are not working, they might stop looking for a job. What is more, some people say that if someone gets unemployment benefits for a long time, they might stop trying to find a job. They might feel comfortable with the money they are receiving and stop looking for work. This can make it harder for them to find a job and improve their situation.
In conclusion, some people believe that helping with financial support is the best way for poor people. But some people think it is not necessary in the majority of cases. Personally, I think giving to charities is a good way for poor people to wake up.
