Accommodation has always been an integral aspect of life since the dawn of human society. In the modern age, where high-rise buildings have sprung up fast, many advocate them to be quite advantageous while others argue that life in these towers is often lonely and depressing. I would like to discuss both these perspectives and express my thoughts in the conclusion.
To begin with, multi-story buildings provide not only a picturesque view from the upper floors but also a plethora of facilities for their residents. These include community spaces, indoor gyms and swimming pools, and dedicated party spaces. A major merit of these gated building complexes is security, as it is much easier to monitor and keep track of anyone entering or leaving the building. Furthermore, these are a very efficient use of the space where units are stacked one over another, making it possible to accommodate more people even in the regions where land available for residential construction is limited.
On the flip side, people living in the traditional styles of housing seldom see any appeal in moving to flats in sky-high buildings as they might feel trapped in an isolated space. The older generation find it difficult to adjust to this environment as going up and down so many floors is often taxing on their body. Consequently, they feel disconnected from their friends and the society. Moreover, in case of an emergency finding assistance is hard in such situations as there are usually not many people closeby.
To conclude, I opine that although there are concerns regarding high-rise residential buildings, it can be a great choice for someone highly conscious about their safety and does not mind living in a nuclear setup. Therefore, these towering residential buildings can be easily deemed beneficial as they provide a desirable and feature-rich option for living.
