Some scientists argue that more advanced life patterns beyond Earth still exist and signals should be emitted to contact them. Meanwhile, proponents said that it could cause potential hazards for both human beings and the earth’s living environment. Although both perspectives hold merit, my personal opinion expresses a stronger alignment with the latter view.
On the one hand, there is no denying that exoplanets could untangle a mysterious universe and approach more intelligent civilizations. In spite of remarkable milestones in space exploration such as the establishment of shuttle launches, and Mars expeditions, human curiosity about whether existing planets are beyond human being’s advancement or not. Thus, exchanging information interplants can provide a profound insight into technological and scientific advances. As a result, with these knowledge can address alarming issues on the earth such as pandemic disasters, and energy crises
On the other hand, opponents of the previous view that establishing connections with aliens could place a financial burden and potential catastrophes, even destroying humanity. Firstly, allocating considerable financial resources for outer space communication may be groundless. There is no uncertain proof about existence of life out of the earth. So, the government shoudld pourt resources into more pressing issues such as education, refurbishing infrastructure, and healthcare systems. By doing this, the quality of life would be enhanced, which reflects a happy society. This also is a main purpose that authorities look forward to. Secondly, If aliens existed, there would be potential dangers involved. because alien creatures remain unknown and their hostile invasions could offer incurable contagious ailments. This means all efforts of researchers are in vain, scientists could fail to protect human life.
In conclusion, while the idea of communicating with extraterrestrial species broadens the knowledge about certain domains, various pressing problems need to be prioritized. Moreover, there is no mention about the appearance of aliens still many doubts. Therefore, I believe that the bodies should invest in urgent social issues instead of interacting with alien worlds.
