Band 6+: Some students choose to work or travel after leaving school and before going to university. Many people, however, say that working experience is more useful in adult life than traveling. Do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is widely believed that some students are more likely to work or travel after graduating from school and before enrolling in university. However, many individuals have opposite point to this statement and say that working experience is more beneficial in adult life than travel. I disagree that working experience is more essential than travel.

Firstly, students choose travelling because they may relax before a new academic year. After leaving school and passing exams, students tend to feel mentally exhausted, as they were under stress during the year. Therefore, travelling can give them opportunity to unwind and reduce stress. As a result, students can broaden their horizons, especially by learning new cultures, languages, and making new friends before a new academic year.

Another important reason is that travelling can help young people become more independent and confident. When students travel around the world, they have to make decisions independently. For example, when students have to book a room, they can rely on themselves, by checking views and trying not to make a mistake, such as confusing with payment. Not only make independent desicions make them stronger, but it also helps them to deal with some problems in the city, such as find the location of a cafe or attraction. Consequently, these situations prepare students to become confident and independent in the new academic year.

In conclusion, I disagree that working experience is better in adult life than travel, as travelling allows them to relax, broaden their mind, and become more independent.
