Every year, government’s spending on exploring the space is excessively high. Venturing beyond our earth can help us find a new planet. The money, however, can be spent on more important sectors such as conserving the earth.
To begin with, the need for a new planet has grown urgent, and thus space exploration is our only chance. This is simply because no one would know there is a planet that resembles earth without exploring the space. Venus, for instance, is one of the earth-like planets. Thus, it is essential to promote the exploration of the universe.
On the contrary, the excessive amount of financial resources allocated to space exploration can be utilized fruitfully elsewhere. This is possibly because those spendings can go to environmental conservation. For example, more funds may be directed towards replanting trees and becoming more environmentally conscious worldwide. This, in turn, will benefit the whole civilization. However, this opportunity can be lost due to the extravacant spending on the space exploration.
In a nutshell, although space exploration increases the chance of finding a new livable planet, such amount of funding can be better used in important sectors.
