A group of individuals claims that tertiary-level enrollees ought to pay their own total expenditure due to its advantages in many aspects of life. Personally, I wholeheartedly disagree with the statement, and my reasons will be clarified in the ensuing paragraphs.
To commence with, it is sensible that tuition fees for universities should be paid by the government due to their high possibility of accessing efficient education. As a result, students are offered a secured job, leading to the unemployment rate of a nation being lowered. This undoubtedly results in a reduction of crimes in certain areas, as unemployment is a major reason for serious crimes.
Another factor contributing to the aforementioned statement is that enrollees can divert more time and effort into their education owing to the financial burden being eased. It is apparent that when tuition fees are covered by the authorities, students are less likely to spend time on part-time jobs and thereby devote all their passion, attempt, and concentration to studying and getting a high-quality diploma.
In conclusion, I assert that it is unnecessary for students to pay for their university fees and that the government should be responsible for it due to its access to higher education and the prevention of financial burdens for students.
