How we value success has nowadays become a popular topic. People are more inclined to considering that the more money earned by us, the more successful we have become. This essay will discuss the reasons why wealth should not be a good success indicator. Moreover, I will suggest other elements that demonstrate individual success.
There are some reasons as to financial achievement does not mean success. Firstly, rich citizens are not always happy residents. Even though they possess much money, some of them could be struggled with other areas of life. Some billionaires need to address some problems, such as mental health, romance etc, which hit unsuccessful standard. If these issues remain unresolved, they will still be not content with their life. Secondly, if the wealthy are not skilful in creating good quality of life, however rich they are, they will remain unsuccessful. This means that despite inhabitants receiving consistent positive income, there are other skills for them to work on. For instance, in order to increase their physical energy, they should be committed to regular gym routines. Therefore, if success is merely defined by wealth, other things besides money will be overlooked.
In terms of evaluating people’s success, there are additional criteria that can be considered. Good quality of human connections belong to successful citizens. This means that they not only socialise with other people, but also form positive bonds with them. For example, in most social situations, they deliver time and efforts into having meaningful conversations with families and friends, developing stronger relationships with them. Furthermore, effective time management strategies should be viewed as success. If individuals understand how to spend their time, their life can be more organised. Some exam-takers are aware that they should answer easier questions if they experience tough ones during exams. This can ensure them to finish their tests on time.
In conclusion. Even if citizens vastly judge individual success based on the level of wealth, I personally disagree with this opinion with solid reasons. I feel that positive relationships with people and time managing skills can also be counted as success.
