It is controversial question: is significant high income of successful sport professionals, compared to the other essential professions, completely justified, or is it unfair and their earnings should be approximately equal to other people. In my opinion, sport professionals’ work is overrated and their ginormous earnings should be less.
For the first view, some people argue that elite athletes’ salary is fully deserved and should not be declined. There are several reasons why this statement might be true. The major reason, spectacle is the main purpose of numerous sports. In other words, people enjoy watching sport games. The overall earnings, therefore, are extremely high. Subsequently, professionals’ income is also glorious. Additionally, a plenty people willing to pay money to watch their games For example, a Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo has a worldwide popularity, and he get millions of dollars every year from his sport career, there are hundred thousands of people who ready to pay to see his game in real life.
On the other hand, there are a wide range of vital professions. In the world, the are professions that help people stay healthy and safe, namely medicine, police, and military. Moreover, most of those fields of activity are paid significatlly less then they deserve. In addition, successful athletes get way more money, however, they do not deserve that money compared to other important professions, as sport professionals’ main job is to entertain people and not save people. For instance, in Russia, workers in medicine sphere get paid not even a average salary, whereas sportsmen earns way more money, that insults lots of people.
In conclusion, athletes’ earnings are surely unfair to other professions, because it is not as vital as other jobs. However, community are willing to pay such money for their playing.
