In recent years, there has been a debate whether utilizing renewable resources brings more advantages than its drawbacks. Both ways come with pros and cons, I believe that renewable energy offers positive effects for the environment and the resident’s lifestyle, despite its potential drawbacks.
On the one hand, applying renewable resources is beneficial to the environment. To illustrate this point, if people replace nuclear power by using renewable energy, it can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide , which is the main cause of global warming. Additionally, renewable resources provide an eco-friendly living environment for the resident. When people have a good living, they will enhance their quality of health, which can foster their productivity. People will work more effectively, gain more money and contribute to increased economic growth.
On the other hand, renewable energy is not available all the time. For instance, solar energy depends on the weather conditions. If you want to take a shower on a rainy day, you can not get warm water from the solar system. Besides that, the cost for renewable resources is not affordable. For developing countries, it is difficult to spend money on getting renewable systems. People may not have enough money to buy solar panels or heat pump grants, they buy air conditioners instead for saving their money.
In conclusion, utilizing renewable energy not only saves the environment but also fosters economic independence. However, governments should find ways to tackle the cost for these energy and its efficiency.
