Some people believe that allowing children to make their own choices from a young age is very important. As far as I am concerned, independence helps children develop essential skills, parents still need to guide to keep them safe.
Firstly, making small decisions teaches children about consequences. For example, if a child decides to stay up late, they will feel tired the next morning and learn to manage their time better. These early experiences prepare them for adult life, where they will have to solve problems and take responsibility for their actions. And giving children the chance to decide for themselves helps them become more confident. When a child chooses their own clothes or decides how to spend their pocket money, they feel trusted and capable. As a result, they learn to believe in their own abilities.
On the other hand, I believe that children should not have complete freedom because they lack experience. Young children cannot fully understand the risk of homework, but these decisions can harm their health and education. For instance, child might choose to eat only junk food or skip their homework, but these decisions can harm their health and education. Parents must step in to prevent such mistakes.
Furthermore, important decisions about safety, school, and health should always be made by adults. Parents know what is best for their children’s future. this way, children feel independent, but parents still control the main outcomes.
In conclusion, it is beneficial children to practice independence in small issue, parents should not leave them completely without guide.
