Although some people consider history irrelevant in modern life, l strongly believe that learning about the past is essential for understanding current social, political, and economic developments.
One argument is that some people think history is not particularly useful today. One reason for this view is that the modern world is rapidly changing due to technological progress and globalization. As a result, historical events seem too distant or different from current situations. To illustrate, numerous young generations believe that learning about ancient wars, old political systems, or dimpolmatic meeting does not help them deal with contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence or climate change. In addition, some critics believe that history frequently focuses on memorizing dates, names, and events, rather than developing practical skills.
On the other hand, studying history is extremely valuable because it helps people understand current societies.
