Technological prevalence plays an integral role in human life, especially as it continues to advance rapidly, and many people claim that it creates more free time for people. However, I believe that this prediction has been partly accurate so far.
On the one hand, modern devices are convenient and fast, which creates more down time. The difference between past and present is the time saved by technological enhancements. For instance, instant messaging such as email or messenger lowers the time connection with each other, which is faster than messenger pigeons. Moreover, technological advancements also help employees save time when they can work remotely. Secondly, not only does it help people take less time in their daily activities but also brings significant positive impacts in industrialization. For example, automobile factories all apply automatic assembly lines, which creates more time for companies to focus on handicraft aspects like automobile interiors.
On the other hand, the rise of digital innovation however causes time constraints that many
individuals face. More specifically, individuals often tend to spend a lot of time scrolling for hours on internet platforms and ignore time. They allocate much of their time to technology, which leads to restricted time for themselves, family and other activities. Furthermore, advances in technology entail a wide range of work for employees. Consequently, many employees check work messages at home, so technology has blurred the line between work and personal life.
In conclusion, although the enhancements in technology create more time to concentrate on developing other aspects of life, the constraints that are caused also hinder individuals between reality and digital.
