In the contemporary era, it is argued that channeling resources in cultivating young people is the most effective way for a country to prepare for the future. This essay will elucidate my viewpoint on this matter, highlighting my endorsement of this hypothesis.
Opponent of investing resources in young people argue that there is no guarantees in the quality of young generation. To clarify, significant changes in world’s operation, particularly the advent of technological distraction which includes many inaccurate information and deviant conceptions, profoundly impacting youngsters’ behaviors and mindsets. This, in turn, makes it challenging in controlling and monitoring these generations for national future plans. Furthermore, they contend that investing too much on young people contributes to the dwindling independence. Such investment may provide them with the best educational materials, thereby making them heavily rely on others’ supports. This can stimulate laziness; lack of self-improvement and self-seeking which limit them in their own horizon. Thus, these generations are capable of getting high academic achievements, but they are less likely to success in social life. These factors have collectively propelled the loss of belief in young people of countries’ future plans.
However, I contend firmly believe that allocation for youngsters engenders significant advantages, particularly exploiting their potentials. Specifically, education is not only regard knowledge but also skills and if the governments focus on constructing an ideal environment in terms of insight and social skills for young people, they can enable these generations to grow comprehensively. Consequently, countries are able to own accomplished workforce devoting for national future intention. A case in point is America where the government has encouraged educational institutions to develop a comprehensive environment to strive, thereby empowering this nation to exploit these generations potential for future plans.
In conclusion, while criticism regarding national investment in cultivating the young is directly attributed to difficulties in controlling and monitoring; and heavy dependence, I maintain that the resultant benefit including exploiting potentials outweigh these concerns
