Band 6+: The best way to increase road safety is to lift the minimum legal age for using vehicles such as cars or motorbikes

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is a common belief that the best way to increase road safety is to lift the minimum legal age for using vehicles such as cars or motorbikes. In my opinion, besides this way, other solutions such as improving infrastructure or encouraging residents to use public transportations also contribute to increasing road safety .

On the one hand, increasing the minimum legal age is appreciated in increasing road safety. It is undeniable that the older people get, the more aware people are. They know ways to protect their security, keep calm to solve any unpredictable situations compared to younger drivers . It is also an effective way to reduce accidents. The younger people have opportunities to improve their driving skills to minimize the risk of accidents.

On the other hand, the safety road is achieved by other ways such as rising polices, encouraging the residents to use public transportations. First, the government should pay money for constructing or maintaining infrastructure such as filling pot-holes, building sky over to reduce the volume of vehicles. For example, recently in a province of a city in Vietnam, a bridge was broken by typhoon and flood which is not maintained frequently by the local authority. This leads to several injuries. Therefore, this solution decreases accidents which makes the road safer for the road users. Second, the government ought to encourage the inhabitants to increasingly use public transportations . This is because this way reduces the volume of traffic. Finally, the own-stated should regulate stringent traffic regulations to punish the law-breakers which acts as a deterrent to other people. Therefore, people act increasingly within the laws . As a result, these residents will no longer worry about the risks that they may face when driving their own vehicles, such as drunk driving or falling asleep at the wheel.

In conclusion, while raising the legal driving age can make our roads safer to some extent, I believe that governments should also introduce other road safety measures that are discussed above.

Write a persuasive essay on whether grades can represent ability. Use evidence and logical reasoning to support your argument.

To begin with, I am unconvinced that grades can completely encapsulate an individual’s true capabilities. Although academic grades are undeniably useful for demonstrating a student’s grasp of theoretical subjects, they evaluate a relatively limited spectrum of competencies. There are many other critical abilities that cannot be precisely quantified through traditional exams, such as creativity, communication, […]
