Teaching people how to eat healthy is the best tool for solving the problem of obesity. I completely disagree with the statement because not only eating could be a reason for obesity, but a way how a body works, which requires the help of doctors. Moreover, physical exercises can be more effective and safer for mental health.
Firstly, obesity could be caused not only by unhealthy food, but by the wrong function of hormones. This way it does not matter what eating habits people have since it will not influence their weight, it is important for them to find a solution to obesity in the doctor’s room. For example, it is well-known that women gain weight during the pregnancy since their hormones start working in a different way, that is why the best option for them is a visit to a doctor.
Secondly, it could be much better to spend some time on physical activities instead of forcing yourself to eat what you do not like or limit the food. Trying to bring limitations in life could cause mental problems for emotionally unstable people since food can be a way to manage stress, so that sport can be much more efficient on losing weight and help to increase mental well-being without some restrictions. As a result, a person does not have stress caused limitations and still lose weight.
In conclusion, although there is a statement that the best way to challenge obesity is to educate people about healthy eating habits, I cannot agree with that. I believe, doctors and physical activities could be a better option to solve the problem of being overweight.
