The concept of possible impacts of cars has recently become a contentious topic, with ongoing debates whether governments should handle these problems. While some argue that this situation will correct itself over time, I believe that there is much that can be done to address the problem constructively.
Currently, cars are the most popular vehicles to reach people’s destinations. Due to, its convenience and speed. However, this rise in popularity and sales, leads to unwanted problems. In fact, as the number of vehicles increases, the rate of traffic jams also increases, that is obvious risk for pedestrians. For instance, when driver is angry with traffic jam, he or she might not notice individuals on the roads. Moreover, carbon emissions from the cars are main factors of global warming.
One possible approach would be for government difficult criterions to get loans by adding law about minimum salary for application. This would certainly tackle the problem quickly. Nevertheless, measures like this would probably be seen as impossible since economy of the county would fall dramatically.
A more feasible approach to handle this problem would be for governments to extend roads. In other words, reconstruct the structure of roads, and make it more flexible for crowded areas. This would help to decrease the rate of traffic jams and accidents. A permanent example would be Chilanzar road, there used to happen frequent accidents after adding some meters to the road.
It is true that the problems of cars will probably not be solved quickly. However, that is not a reason to avoid taking action. Governments can encourage change by complicating criterions to get loans and extending roads.
