Band 5+: The chart below shows the results of a survey about people's coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The bar graph displays the percentage of consumption habits of tea and coffee of people in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisban, Adelaide and Hobart in the last 4 weeks.

In general, people in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart mostly went to a cafe’ for drinks. Meanwhile, Brisban and Adelaide saw a trend in buying instant coffee as well.

In both Sydney and Melbourne, most times people got their coffee or tea at a cafe shop, which is at around 60% to 63%. This is much higher than people who bought fresh coffee or instant coffee, both only about 43% to 48% in both cities. Hobart also saw the similar trend in the last few weeks, with the only difference being the proportion of getting instant coffee increased to roughly 54%.

On the other hand, Brisban did not have the same phenomenon. Although the percentage of going to cafes is also the largest, buying instant coffee is a close second, standing at around 53%. In Adelaide, buying instant coffee took the top spot, at approximately 50%, while going to a cafe dropped to 48%.
