Overall, 4 cities except Adelaide had a similar trend of buying and drinking habits. Going to a café was the most common activity in most cities, while buying fresh coffee was the least popular.
For fresh coffee, Sydney and Melbourne showed similar figures, with around 44% and 43% of people bought it in the last four weeks. Hobart followed with about 39%, while Brisbane and Adelaide had the lowest percentages, at approximately 33% and 34%. Instant coffee was more popular in Brisbane and Hobart, around 53% and 54% of people bought it. On the other hand, Sydney and Melbourne recorded the lowest figures for instant coffee buying and drinking, at approximately 45% and 48% respectively.
Going to a cafe was the most popular habit in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Hobart, with more than 55% of individuals doing this. However, in Adelaide, more people bought instant coffee than went to a café.
