The two graphs illustrates the rise in the percentage of households with electrical appliances and also represents the number of hours spent per household from the year 1920 to 2019 .
Overall, there has always been a rise in the use of all the three appliances , the refrigerator, washing machine and Vacuum cleaner .They stared slowly in the year 1920 and rose to an astonishing number . While there was a significant usage of electrical appliance during this period , there was always a huge drop in the number of working hours spent per week during the same period.
Out of all the 3 appliances ,the biggest transition was with the Refrigerator .There were almost 0% of Refrigerators used in 1920 whereas in the year 2019 , this number rose to 100%. The other 2 appliances such as vacuum cleaner and washing machine saw a gradual rise in the usage from about 30% and 40% in the year 1920 to 100% in the year 2019.
On the other hand , the working hours dropped from around 50 hours per week in 1920 to just 10 hours in 2019.This means the working hours has been cut by a 5 times.
