Some people believed the crime rate among adolescents has risen significantly in many nations. There are several reasons behind this trend and the possible solutions will be discussed in this essay.
To begin with, it is believed teenagers often imitate things they see on television or on some other place. They try to mimic famous actor’s criminal actions which they saw in movies as they believe it is just normal thing in our daily life. For example, two youngsters from Delhi try to make a bomb after they watched it how to make a real bomb in a movie called “Freedom fighter”. Also, they can get ideas about unethical works from news channels as it shows how a criminal commit a crime. Moreover, in this digital era, they can also blackmail someone by creating their deepfake images and videos.
In order to reduce the crime rate among teenagers, first of all a proper law should be established related to age restriction for action movies. As action movies often contain vulgar content which is not good for teenagers. Furthermore, the authorities should restrict the use of social media platform for certain age groups. For instance, in China, the government put a ban to use social media apps for those who are under the age of 16 years. Finally, the most important thing is parents ought to focus more on their children by teaching lessons about how to live as a wise person in the community.
In conclusion, although teenagers try to do similar actions which are performed by any famous actor or criminals on television, it can be reduced by proper law enforcements by the government as well as good mentorship by their parents.
