It is true that, the growth of tourism made English become the most eminent language around the world. While there are some negative aspects, of this development, I would argue that these are outweighed by the advantages.
On the one hand, there are some aspects of having one language. Principally, a global language will eliminate a communication barrier. It would greatly improve international communication. People from different countries will understand each other easily, which will reduce misunderstandings and arguments. This will beneficial for politics, international relationships, business and science. Education could also become more accessible, as students will study only in one language, same material, also it will be easier to make international olympiads and competitions.
On the other hand, despite the benefits, there are also drawbacks. The most common issue is cultural identity. Language is key part of every nations, if there will not be any own language of every nation, the will lose their uniqueness. After all, the disappearance of local languages means loss of knowledge and history. For non-native speakers may be harder to learn, study, work in education, employment and international affairs.
While having one global language, such as English could simplify communication and there will be less misunderstandings. But it risks to loss cultural specialty and diversity which makes our world rich and unique. A balance between nations and languages protecting our humanity from fights
