Experts have hotly debated the issue of education, whether education in the family outweighs education in school. I personally believe that both of which are equally important in my character building. In other words, instead of only focusing on one type of education, other types of education should be accessed by me as well at the same time.
Primarily, home education is like the first school for me and my parents act as a teacher. They teach a lot of moral values, good attitudes, as well as basic knowledge ranging from math, science, and religion. Those lessons are crucial for me to live amidst society. I could behave in a good way and respect other people owing to advice from my parents. Case in point, I was taught by my mother for queue in a store when buying something.
Subsequently, I also need invaluable lessons from my teacher at school. They are experts in certain science and knowledgeable people. As a result, learning something new from them is a nice decision regarding enhancing knowledge. As a student, I have more opportunity to dive into the specific topic that I am curious about and firsthand experience how to interact with intelligent people. For instance, I learned about the diversity of culture in Indonesia which has more than one hundred languages and that was very interesting.
All in all, learning in school is as important as at home because both of them support each other in terms of building my character and knowledge about the world.
