Band 6+: The education you receive from your family is more important than the education you receive from school. To what extent do you agree with this statement and why?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is said that learning in family is more significant than learning in school. Personally, I firmly agree with this viewpoint and I will explain my opinion as below.

The main reason why I choose learning in home is more essential than in school is that it brings more various benifits for students. To begin with, education from school has a considerable amount of academic information for tests but education from family tends to teach neccessary knowledge for daily life. Knowledge which be taught in school commonly is formula for science tests or the way of writing an essay for literature tests, demanding academic skills. Meanwhile, training in family is likely to give the students the pratical knowledge such as cooking skills or problem-solving skills.

Furthermore, education from our family also refers to a type which belongs to a higher level instead of focusing on facts, numbers and so on. This kind of education falls in the field of moral values and even spiritual beliefs which powerfully guide our lives in more profound ways.

However, learning in school has an advantage is that students have the opportunity to compete, interact and learn directly from their classmates. In addition, studing in school can help children make friends with their peers to boost communication skills and create more memorable moments in childhood.

In conclusion, I agree that education from family has a profound effect on children and the reason is studing in family will give more practical knowledge for students rather than studing in school. Nevertheless, parents should coordinate two sorts of learning in order to enhance all the children’s aspects.
