In current industrialized world, research and development for fossil energy alternatives should be the top world priority. I completely agree with this statement as it is unrenewable. Furthermore, there will be a drastic long-term issues.
Fossil fuels are limited, meanwhile the demand for it keeps increasing. The most compelling reasons for this is that almost 90% of current motorized vehicles are consuming this kind of energy. Additionally, a lot of industrial tools are also using the same source of energy. Consequently, fossil fuels are becoming more and more decreasing as oppossed to the requests. This is because they are sourced from the decomposed prehistoric living things, which at some point it will be over and needed another thousand of years to recover.
Furthermore, usage of coals, petrols, and other similar kind of fuels can lead to various consequences, mainly long-term environmental issues. From how the companies extract this resources from the earth, to the output of vehicles that uses this fuels, all of this cycles producing a lot of pollutions to the mother nature. As evidence, the global warming is one of current environmental issue that is happening due to excessive CO2 are spreaded in the atmosphere, which resulting in the growth of water level due to the antartic ice melting. Another example can be seen in the majority of industrial cities today’s, where it is very uncommon for the public to see a clear blue sky due to the air polutions produced by factories.
All in all, I wholeheartedly agree that the governments around the world should prioritize the developments and explorations of new energy as the alternatives of fossil fuels, due to its rarity nowadays and the future impacts that it will bring for the society.
