From the first car on the roads in Britain, today there are millions of vehicles of different categories across the globe showcasing the booming car businesses. With that being said carrying them out on a universal level by many MNC’s and local companies has its own downsides.
Overall, some might believe that introduction of cars to the market has revolutionized the way humans travel, making it faster, convenient and more efficient means of transportation, but this fact can be easily countered with an argument that with this invention, accidents caused due to reckless driving, air pollution, jamming on roads etc have also increased substantially over the years.
The creation of cars have made travel more easy and comfortable as today, one can move to many places at any time without giving a second thought. Cars are especially handy when an emergency situation arrives at a place like requiring immediate medical attention or reaching places in correct time. Even shopping becomes less tiring when someone owns a car to carry their materials and people.
Even though the benefits of owning a car are numerous, there are many downsides to it as well. As the vehicles on roads have exponentially increased across several years, so does the heavy traffic jam caused by them, causing inconvenience to several people daily. The other factor is that they cause air pollution by releasing carbon dioxide , nitrogen oxides and other harmful gasses into the environment , which is increasingly hampering the atmosphere by causing global warming. Other than that, car accidents are more prone today , as many people own them which is evident through several road accidents caused each year and in every country.
In my belief, Alternative forms of transport like travelling from bus and fast train travels etc can effectively reduce the concerns addressing global warming issues as the pooling system is naturally inbuilt in these methods as well as walking and cycling can reduce damage caused due to road accidents. I also agree by the fact that International laws introduced to control car ownership and usage should be implemented as they make people owning cars more vigilant towards maintaining safety for other people and other living beings like animals arround their vehicles. Introducing more laws to enhance engines and promoting more electric vehicles will also help global warming dip down to fairly low levels.
