The first chart provides information about how energy used in an average Australian household. The second chart, on the other hand, provides information about the result of the greenhouse gas emissions which is from the usage of the energy use. The usage of the energy in the charts within six activities.

Heating is remained the biggest usage by Australian, which is 42% of the energy is used for this activity. By contrast, cooling is the smallest usage of energy by Australian, approximately 2% energy used for this activity. 3 out of 10 of the energy used by Australian for heating their water. Refrigeration used 7% of the energy. Lighting used 4% of the energy. Et cetera, 15% of the energy used for other appliances.

The greenhouse gas emissions produced by water heating is the biggest among the other activities, approximately at 32%. Meanwhile, 3% of the greenhouse gas emissions produced by cooling remained as the smallest within the other activities. Other appliances produced 28% of those emissions. 14% of the greenhouse gas emissions produced by refrigeration. Lighting and heating each produced 8% and 15% of the emissions in Australia.
