The idea that our first impression about someone is the best way to judge that person is a common opinion in our society. First expression can be deceiving and often based on superficial traits, so I strongly disagree with this idea.
First impression may result biased views of people’s personalities. There is a widespread saying, ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover.’ Understanding this conception, it is meaningful to recognize that a person who may seem charming, friendly and kind, can hide in this exterior his arrogance and manipulative nature. Conversely, person who might seem cynical at first may actually be caring and honest, simply hiding it behind defensive mechanisms. Depending on merely first impression can lead to the misjudgments.
Moreover, to my perspective, individuals are complex and posses wide range of qualities as well as personal traits that may not be immediatly apparent. Shy and introverted person is may be the most hardworking, sociable person with his own ambitious for someone else. This proves that deeper you discover a person, greater you will know each other. This highlights how simplistic first impressions can be. It is necessary to spend more time with that person to appreciate their true character.
In conclusion, society frequently relies on first impressions to assess a person’s character, these initial judgments can often be deceptive and based on surface-level traits. People are much more complex than they may initially appear, and their true qualities may only appear over time. Therefore, basing our opinions solely on first impressions can result in misunderstandings and flawed judgments.
