Over the last two or three decades, there has been a widespread belief that the government should invest more money to improve the train facilities than roads. In this essay, I completely agree with this viewpoint and try to support my idea with several reasons and examples.
Compared to roads, the upgrading train facilities such as subway can bring more merits to the society of the country. First and foremost, by advancing the quality of underground we can encourage more individuals to use them, in other words, more and more people try to choose trains as an ultimate means of transport rather than car and buses. As a result, the amount of pollution that is produced by cars will encounter a reamrkable reduction, which means both the government and environment can benefit each other. In addition, when the country achieve the goal that I mentioned above, by focusing on this sector, they can take control of some medical issues, including asthma and other respiratory illnesses. Due to gases created by the road transports, some kind of diseases above appearing. Take Japan as an example, the population tended to utilize subway and locomotives as their daily public transport, as a consequence of that a few people suffer from respiratory diseases. Last but not least, the construction of roads require more financial aid as well as materials compared to trains. In other words, the government can save money by installation of railways. It is also interesting to note that the average proportion of fuel that used by trains is less than others.
To summarize, I strongly consider that if the government pay more attention to develop railroads it would be more beneficial rather than roads.
