The two bar charts depict the number of male and female employees (1000) of 6 departments in the Republic of Freedonia 1975 and 1995 respectively.
Overall, the number of men was higher in all sectors in 1995. Meanwhile, an inverse phenomenon was recorded in 1995 communication and trading sectors.
Looking at the first chart, the number of public sector employees topped the list, with males and females at roughly 850 and 650 correspondingly. Meanwhile, the lowest figures were recorded in the public sector, with the number of male and female workers figured at slightly over 200 and 0 respectively. Besides, the number of both genders doing communications was merely counterbalanced, with males at 300, slightly higher than its counterpart.
Regarding the 1995 chart, the number of men in the public sector remained the same in the first place while women in wholesale and retail trade rose noticeably to just under 800 and surpassed the number of females in the public department. An analogous trend was witnessed by the communications, finance/banking and public sectors, with the female workers grew considerably to roughly 600, 450 and 100 in the aforementioned order. Meanwhile, the number of males and females in manufacturing remained unchanged at 650 and 300 respectively.
