There has been a debate regarding the global consumption of fossil fuels. Some people believe that the international community must be responsible for all the causes in relation to the reduction of fossil fuels by all countries. This essay will provide the major factors in agreement to the statement judging from my personal views. This includes: governments setting restrictions and protocols to the use of fossil fuels globally and increasing the price of petrols by the governments.
Firstly, the international community allows governments to apply restrictions and protocols that limit the use of fossil fuels such as oil and gas by the people in their country. This means that people have to be more conservative in their everyday life as the government is more influential and powerful than individuals. Lowering the usage of fossil fuels leads to a decrease in pollution in the atmosphere as there is less greenhouse gas emitted.
In addition, the governments can increase the price of petrol which causes a shift in transportation used by people. People may change to use public transports such as BTS, santander bikes or even private transport like EV cars. The reason solely comes from the cost of transportation because people would want to have more disposable income which means that they would have to save on their expenses.
To conclude, I strongly agree with the statement because the international communities has a larger impact than individuals. Due to the fact that governments can raise awareness on the changes par to the reduction of fossil fuels much better than individuals. A clear example is that the governments can add restrictions and protocols to lower the consumption of fossil fuels, along with the rise in price of petrol to force people to change their way of transportation.
