Positive impacts can be seen in the economy’s growth and other societal development ever since the birth of the Internet. However, concerns that humans will soon lose their own color to monotonous behavior arose as one idea can be spread & adapted internationally. There are 3 reasons explaining why I don’t agree with this statement.
First, the internet is not the sole source of knowledge that people studied from. One has access to different platforms and individuals teaching them new news and ideas. For example, a compulsory primary school can teach a 6-year-old child about common colors’ name, while their parents can teach them how colors have different meanings in their own culture, or the internet can demonstrate things that are available in which color. Since each child has their own school and parents, even if a child in Italy and Vietnam acknowledge the same piece of information, what they understand about colors surely differs.
Secondly, people will perceive everything on this international network in their very own ways. For instance, when a celebrity announces a new song release on social media, her fans might support immediately, yet people who don’t like this singer will criticize it, and ignorants will just pass this news. Besides, the internet is constantly updated and is too modern to a point that people will get their personalized messages.
To sum up, the fact that people don’t receive information only from the internet and their perceptions are varied. The internet can create no global village where humans think and act similarly.
