The line chart illustrates the count of vacationers who traveled to a Caribbean island from 2010 to 2017.
In general, the proportion of holidaymakers rose over 7 years in the Caribbean islands.
In 2010, there were a total of 1 million voyagers who went to a Caribbean island. Two-thirds of them planned to stay on the island, whereas the rest decided to spend their time on the cruise ship. For the next three years, the rate of those who preferred to have their vacation on the ship fluctuated down to 0.25 million and up again to a half million. After that, the chunk rose without falling to 1.25 million by 2015. On the other hand, island lovers plateaued for one year before they climbed to 1.5 million in 2013. This case remained the same for another 2 years.
The middle of 2015 witnessed a breaking point, as the percentage of tourists who liked the cruise passed the ones who enjoyed the island more, and the growth kept on increasing, reaching 2 million visitors. As for the other portion of vacationers, they showed a minimal decrease of a quarter million in 2016, which grew back again to its level the year after.
