It is often argued that earning a high salary is the key factor while choosing a career. I partly agree with this view. Nowadays money is necessary for a comfortable life, as other aspects such as job satisfaction, and personal interest plays a crucial role on deciding a suitable profession.
On the one hand, a high earning is the main factor when people make a decision about their future. Moreover many individuals opt for higer paying jobs to secure a better life. People need money to cover their basic needs including food and housing. A well payed job can provide financial stability and a high quality lifestyle. A good example of this is most individuals select their professions based on income level like engineering, medicine or technology. Although people are unsure about their occupations they continue to pursue well payed jobs. This suggests that many people ignore their personal passion and focus on financial gain instead.
On the other hand money isn’t the only thing that matters when choosing a business. However if people do not feel suitable in their jobs, they may feel stressed or depressed in the longterm. This may affect professional performance. Job satisfaction and personal interest plays a major role for a successful business. Additionally job satisfaction leads to better productivity at work. This is a good example of some individuals who prefer jobs that pays less but give them more free time and happiness.
In conclusion, even though job satisfaction, personal interest plays a key role in pursing a career, i believe that a high earning position should also be considered when choosing a business.
