The charts below provide information about the age statistics of the community of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and give us a forecast for 2050. Overall, in both countries, there are three main age groups which share similarities in numbers, but in a 50 year gap there are going to be some fluctuations.
According to the given data, we can observe that in 2000 in Yemen the youngest part of the population (0-14) was the most common (50.1%), the middle aged group (15-59) was slightly different from the previous one (46.3%) and the oldest one (60+) was the smallest among all (3.6%). There was another situation in Italy, the biggest part of the country was people of middle age (61.6%), unlike other countries young aged and elderly people shared approximately the same percentage (14.3%-24.1%).
In the following future, in both countries, the ages of the population will be very different. In Italy the youngest group age will grow slightly, but in Yemen there will be a big drop (50.1-37.0%). Therefore, the middle aged group of Yemen will remain stable, but in Italy there will be a sharp increase (5.7-42.3%), moreover, this age category will become the most popular. The last and the oldest group in Italy will decrease, despite these in Yemen there is going to be an upward trend (46.3-57.3%) providing a leadership in age of the population.
