Overall, both boys and girls enjoyed reading, playing computer games, and listening to music. Especially, playing Internet games is the hottest thing among boys, whereas, dancing is a hit for girls.
Looking first at the similarities shared by both groups, both male and female children really enjoy playing computer games in their leisure time. The number of males was the largest, witnessing 34%, while the latter was roughly 3 times lower than that. However, the smallest figure could be found in reading that boys take part in, at 2%, while at the same time, reading was the most popular activity for girls, with a fifth.
Moving to the categories that are different in the two charts, it’s clear that playing basketball and soccer matter more for the males. The former accounts for a great percentage, with approximately a quarter, while the latter sees 17%.Contrastingly, girls prefer listening to music and gymnastics as their leisure activities. Both of them witness almost the same proportions, accounting for 11% and 10% respectively.
