There is a tendency of blaming the mothers when something goes wrong in the family. This is relatively an ongoing problem from the past. Nowadays, women have started to take up higher positions in the society which adds up to the problem. I totally disagree with this stereotypical mindset.
Firstly , it is not the only role of the mother to bring up the child well mannered and with values. It is a duty of both the parents. The problem of increasing juvenile delinquency is co related with women going for work. History is full of many example with women being tortured and made to stay at the home and they were only seen as capable of doing household chores. Only after a long struggle women are now able to work and seen as capable doing things equal to men. Even though, if a mother is working she never abandons the family and she does multiple task in order to satisfy everyone in the household. For instance, a working mother has to take care of the kids academic pursuits, husbands work and financial situation , has to look after aged parents and the same time they have to work in order to support the family.
Secondly, juvenile delinquency is something that happens beyond the awareness of the parents. It is a outcome of the immaturity and lack of personality among the adolescents. Adolescence is a age were each kid goes through several hormonal changes . this is a period when the teens distance themselves from their parents and become close with their peers. The mother can only help or support the child when she notices the change. For instance, I have seen many people brought up by single mothers who have achieved greater things in life.
In conclusion , blaming women for societal issues like juvenile delinquency stems from outdated and patriarchal beliefs. Both parents share responsibility in raising children, and external factors such as peer influence and adolescence play a significant role. Women have proven their capability to balance multiple responsibilities, and it is essential to challenge these stereotypes to promote a more equitable society.
