Many people think television is a platform that provides us only entertainment purposes and may reduce our ability to have meaningful conversations with our family and friends. In this essay, I disagree with this statement because I believe that watching TV can help us to explore topics for discussion, share more insights which can tighten our bonds with people.
Television provides a wider range of topics to discuss with our family and friends. This is because television has many types of programs, such as economics for instance. As a result, it can help to discuss the situation that we’re having right now in this country. For example, we can discuss with our friends regarding the free nutritious lunch in Indonesia, which is currently having a crisis that results in poisoning a lot of students across Indonesia. Politics is just for example, it can also be applied to other TV shows.
Television can help to share more information to others that do not really understand about the topics. By having us understand the meaning about it, we can share it to people who are not updated to the information. As a result, people are more interested in our insights and it can strengthen our relationship with them. For example, Wombat’s poop is in a cube form. By having that information through a National Geographic show, we could share a fact to people and explain the digestive system in wombats.
In conclusion, TV is an entertainment platform that many people misunderstand. I completely disagree with the statement above because TV provides us with information, which can build our communication with others by exploring a wider range of topics, and sharing more facts with people.
