The number of children with obesity is rising in various parts of the world. I believe that unemployment and lack of exercises are the root causes of this concern and how through job provisions and promoting physical workout among children this problem can be curtailed.
There are mulitple causes associated with increasing level of weight in the youngsters. Firstly, umemployment is to blame. When a person does not have much money, it becomes difficult to but good and healthy food for his family. Take Nigeria as an example, where the rate of children with obesity is increasing significantly in rural areas becuase people do not have much sources. Thus, unemployment is the driving force behind this issue.
Secondly, now a days most of the children do not pay attention to physical activities. As there are a lot of equipments who can provide enjoyment to a children inside the house. For instance, a recent report by The United Nations revealed that by the year 2040, the number of children in parks will decreased by 80%, which is a big threat to the health of the youngsters. Hence, if the children will not do any activity physically, it can be harmfull for them.
However, there are certain viable measures that can be taken to address this issue. The primary solution I believe would be to provide jobs, restrict companies from selling unhealthy food and also encourage younger generation to take part in sports. The government should also start different projects related to healthy food and different sports.
To sum up, although due to unemployment and lack of workout there is a rise in obesity among children, I believe that through better government policies regarding well paid jobs and sports competitions, this problem can be tackled.
