It is often argued that the increase of social media has a significant impact on people’s personal relationships and society as a whole. I believe that this development has its own benefits and drawbacks because using social media can be useful, but dangerous.
The main advantage is to communicate with people from different countries. This is because social networks are available for every country, and people can easily find new friends, partners from social media. People from distinct countries, for example, Turkey people and Russian people can talk with each other through social media such as TikTok and Telegram. As a result, people can use social media for making friends and connect with society.
The main disadvantage is that social media can be tricky for building personal relationships. This means that every information in social media is not always true. For instance, when a person talks with a stranger from social media, this person would be tricked by a stranger and this situation could lead to negative consequences such as reducing emotional depth and lossing trust. Therefore, using social media for building personal relationships would not be a good option.
In conclusion, I believe that social media can be beneficial for finding relationships and communicating with society. Mind you, social media also make people reduce empathy and trust
