It is often argued that the age group people belong to has a greater influence on their shopping habits. I completely agree with this statement, as I believe that people of different ages have different needs and lifestyles which affect what they buy.
On the one hand, many people believe that age affects what people buy. This is because people at different stages of life need different things. For example, young people often spend money on clothes, gadgets, and entertainment, while older people prefer to buy food, home products, or healthcare items. Also, older people usually think more carefully before buying something, as they tend to plan their budgets and avoid unnecessary purchases. In contrast, young people often buy things impulsively because they want to follow new trends or impress others. Moreover, as people get older, their priorities change – for example, they start focusing on comfort and quality rather than appearance. Therefore, it is clear that age plays an important role in people’s shopping habits.
On the other hand, some people think that other factors, such as income or advertising, are more important, and I personally agree with this idea to some extent. The main reason is that people’s spending depends largely on how much money they have and what they see on the internet or social media. For instance, advertisements and influencers can easily change people’s choices, no matter their age or background. In addition, technologica progress and online shopping platforms have made it easier for anyone to buy things quickly, often without thinking. As a result, shopping habits today are influenced not only by age, but also by lifestyle, income, and modern media.
In conclusion, I believe that both age and other factors influence how people shop. However, in my opinion, money, technology, and advertising have a stronger effect in today’s world.
