In recent years, due to the quick development of the internet, in which news can spread in an enormous speed, there has been a growing concern about whether news should focus more on problems and emergencies or on positive developments. In my opinion, focusing news on problems and emergencies is harmless to the individuals and the society and can even benefit them.
Firstly, individuals can be aware of problems existing in society reading news concerning that. As a consequence, citizens can think and practice their ideas making progress in our society. For example, if there is a robbery happened in a place, news can report that warning individuals to protect more themselves and pay more attention to circumstances.
Secondly, news relating to emergencies can make the population more compact, to make us aware of the fact that we are not separated individuals, and we should help each others, as we live all toghether in the same nation, on the same land. For instance, if there is a earthquack in a city, news should report this emergency so that other citizens of other cities could donate to restore early the destructed city. This will benefit to our society making not only progress but also a sense of union.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that news reports should focus on problems and emergencies, as it can both warn people about dangers in our society and show us the sense of union making us help each other.
