These days, there are various ways of doing business thanks to the advancements in technology. One of the most popular ways of modern businesses is sharing economy, which has raised the concerns of people because of led the traditional ways become outdated. From my perspective, this pervasive phenomenon can have both advantages and disadvantages.
On the one hand, sharing economy is a type of job market in that people share their properties with other people throughout different online platforms. This opportunity has brought some benefits in favor of entrepreneurs and clients, for example, well-known companies, such as Uber and Airbnb are perfect examples of sharing economies. These businesses provide services through online platforms that enable people to rent flats and houses in every part of the world or get private taxis everywhere and anytime by smartphones. Therefore, this not only bring convenience and accessibility for customers but also gives individuals chances to work online and make money from their personal belongings.
On the other hand, there are some disadvantages to the sharing economy. For instance, people who work online often feel job insecurity as they cannot work always because of lack of the demands sometimes of the year. Moreover, if people work remotely in the digital world, they mostly would not become financially stable because of the high competition in the online job market. In addition, employment doesn’t have the same benefits like health insurance and paid vacation days as traditional workers.
In conclusion, the sharing economy can have benefits and drawbacks for businesses and individuals for the aforementioned reasons. However, it is important to not forget the traditional businesses and have a strike balance to preserve traditional and modern careers at the same time.
