It is asserted that the conventional paradigm of teaching will be replaced with the innovative functions of advanced technologies by 2050. While advocates of traditional education argue that face-to-face interaction is the only reliable option for effective learning, I am fascinated by the notion that digital teaching will surpass typical teaching.
To begin with, it is undeniable that the conventional teaching paradigm still offers various benefits for student development and contributes a great deal to their academic performance. For instance, pupils are able to engage in different kinds of activities related to collaboration, communication, and enhanced interpersonal relationships. Moreover, the school environment encourages them to be exposed to new topics and diverse fields that support students in developing cognitive abilities, mindsets, and critical thinking. However, this traditional teaching can be limited under certain conditions, such as climate change, natural disasters, pandemics, and so on. Besides, it is reported that school violence is increasingly becoming a serious issue in several countries, which can lead to the collapse of the educational system.
Conversely, cutting-edge technologies supply tools and conveniences for users. Furthermore, it was due to the COVID-19 epidemic that typical teaching was forbidden, and virtual classrooms were considered an optimal solution. For example, social platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams enable students to use them in diverse locations and at flexible times. More than that, virtual learning helps teachers to create creative educational programs and games, which impact the learning experiences of pupils and change the ambiance of the class as well as students’ concentration.
